A. You can start using the service immediately if you already receive Oceanic transaction alerts via SMS. Otherwise, please go to any Oceanic Bank branch today to complete and submit the transaction alert registration form in order to enjoy this service
Q. How much does it cost to receive a confirmation SMS alert after initiating any of the services above?
A. Each SMS alert costs only N10
Q. How soon will I receive a confirmation SMS alert after initiating any of the services above?
A. You should receive the confirmation immediately, however please note that SMS delivery is dependent upon your GSM network
Q. Can I initiate a "START" request after previously requesting a "STOP" request?
A. Yes, you can request a “START” or “STOP” request any time as required to safeguard your Oceanic cards.
Q. Can I use the service for all my Oceanic cards e.g. InterSwitch, Vpay, eTranzact, Visa and MasterCard?
A. No. At present, you can use the service for ONLY your Oceanic InterSwitch cards: Magnetic strip and Verve.
Q. Can I use the service during the weekends as well as week days?
A. Yes, you can use the service 24/7, week days and weekends inclusive.
Q. Can I call the hotline 0803 623 2642 to verbally request any of the services?
A. No. You can only send an SMS in the pre-advised format to the hotline.
