What are RSS Feeds?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) Feeds, also known as 'feeds' or 'web feeds', allow the subscriber see when new contents are added to a website. The subscriber can get the latest headlines of the selected information straight to their computers automatically when updated without necessarily visiting the website.

This allows you to keep up to date with your interests from your favourite websites, when updates happen. Oceanic Bank provides RSS feeds, making it easy for you to keep up to date with media releases and market information. The RSS feeds are provided at no charge to the subscriber.

How do I start using feeds?

RSS contents can be read using software called a 'RSS reader or aggregator'. The RSS reader checks the 'feeds' that you've subscribed to and it is automatically updated when new contents is loaded. This allows you to read contents from various websites in your selected Reader.

Once you have selected a Reader, all you need to do is add the feeds you are interested in to your Reader. Your selected feeds will become available in your Reader as soon as new information is updated to the website.

How do I get a RSS Reader?

There are different versions of Readers (also called aggregators), some of which are accessed using a browser and some are downloadable applications. Many RSS feed reader programmes are free or cost very little, and are easy to download and install.
Different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that will work with your computer.
Oceanic Bank cannot recommend a specific Reader and do not provide technical support to any Readers.
