RESOURCES OPERATIONS
Human Resources Operations comprises Staff Welfare, Payroll
and other HR related matters managed on behalf of our subsidiary
companies. These are sub-units (or desks) within the unit.
This unit is more concerned about the well-being
of staff in terms of ensuring they are not concerned about
things that might otherwise bother and distract them from
their primary responsibilities. These would ordinarily include
prompt payment of their salaries and other benefits/entitlements,
administration of their bills and requests like leave applications,
subscriptions to various bodies etc.
HR Operations is also responsible for managing
the separation process of staff who for one reason or other
find themselves disengaging from the bank. The unit maintains
correspondence/relationship with a disengaged staff for various
reasons which might include obtaining data/information, registration
numbers of sorts and assistance with file requirements.
In discharging its duties efficiently and effectively,
it is apparent that a major requirement of the unit would
be a well-structured record keeping methodology to warehouse
information like staff list and statistics showing staff details,
appraisal outcomes, redeployment etc. This it is able to do
with the use of a Human Resources Information System that
captures such important data efficiently and promptly.
The members of staff in this unit continuously
update themselves about developments in the industry and ensure
that the bank is able to render top class service to its staff
through their constant study and recommendations. |
