Oceanic Football Talent Hunt is an initiative of Oceanic Bank aimed at giving young Nigerians a platform to realise their dreams of becoming world renowned football stars.

Former Super Eagles Captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha is the face of the project. At the unveiling of Okocha as the face of the project, the former Bolton player said:“I am really happy with this project because I want to develop people and make impact on the career of youths in Nigeria. It is a great opportunity that I never had and so I am expecting a wonderful time with the youths courtesy of Oceanic Bank.”

The bank reiterates its commitment to sports development and youth empowerment through various CSR initiatives.

The 8th Lagos State Tennis Governor's Cup 2008 held at Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan is one of the ways that Oceanic Bank contributes to sports development. Every year, the tournament parades an array of Nigerian and International stars, and various cash prizes are up for grabs.

The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, commended Oceanic Bank for its efforts towards building a stronger Nigeria through sports development and other CSR projects.

The Oceanic Bank sponsored Delta State Federation Cup 2010 was the 11th in the series and demonstrates the Bank's commitment to good corporate social responsibility and sports development.

His Excellency, Deputy Governor, Delta State, Professor Amos Agbe Utuama, SAN, commended Oceanic Bank for identifying with the competition and enhancing the development of football in the state. "Oceanic Bank's commitment to the Delta FA Cup is an instructive case study in good corporate social responsibility. We commend the Bank's management for contributing to the socio-economic development of the state through this sponsorship and other areas where the Bank has been of immense support to the state".
